Structural insulation for door thresholds and floor-level elements

TRIOTHERM+ profiles in 160, 180, 200 and 230 mm depths are particularly suited for use as structural and thermally insulating door upstands and threshold supports.

They provide a strong, moisture-resistant and thermally efficient base beneath entrance doors, sliding doors and other floor-level elements, while helping to reduce thermal bridging at the building connection.

Each profile is 85 mm wide and 1,175 mm long. Integrated dovetail joints allow the profiles to be extended seamlessly to the required length.

For a complete system installation, TRIOTHERM+ should be bonded and sealed with Power FIX and mechanically fixed to the load-bearing structure using suitable FK-T30 frame screws. Support brackets and external waterproofing may be required depending on the installation detail.

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM COMPONENTS

For a complete TRIOTHERM+ door upstand installation, we recommend using the following system components:

• Power FIX Hybrid Polymer Adhesive – for bonding and sealing the TRIOTHERM+ profiles to the substrate and sealing joints between profiles.
• FK-T30 Concrete Frame Screws – for secure mechanical fixing of the TRIOTHERM+ profiles to the load-bearing structure.
• Support Brackets / Assembly Brackets – for additional fixing and load transfer where required, particularly for floor-level door and sliding-door installations.
• FLK External Waterproofing System – recommended where the threshold connection requires external waterproofing against moisture and driving rain.
