The blaugelb FK-T30 Frame Screw is a professional 7.5 mm direct-fixing screw for the plug-free installation of windows, doors, structural insulation profiles and other construction components.
It can be used in a wide range of common construction substrates including concrete, solid concrete block, calcium silicate brick, solid fired-clay brick, structural timber, lightweight aggregate concrete, aerated concrete and highly insulated clay blocks.
The FK-T30 is particularly suitable for mechanically fixing load-transferring TRIOTHERM+ profiles, assembly brackets and supports to the load-bearing building structure.
It can also be used for the direct fixing of window and door frames and is suitable for timber, PVC, aluminium and timber/aluminium frame systems.
The tapered thread tip reduces screw-in torque, while the TX T30 drive provides efficient and reliable transmission of the installation torque.
The FK-T30 Frame Screw is used to mechanically secure TRIOTHERM+ structural thermal support profiles to the load-bearing building structure.
TRIOTHERM+ profiles are first bonded and sealed using Power FIX and are then mechanically fixed using suitable FK-T30 Frame Screws in accordance with the applicable installation detail.
Screw length, fixing position, screw-in depth and the number of fixings must be selected according to the substrate, TRIOTHERM+ profile, installation geometry and loads.
FK-T30 can also be used for direct, plug-free installation of windows and doors into suitable substrates.
The screw is suitable for all common frame materials including timber, PVC, aluminium and timber/aluminium constructions.
The required drill-hole diameter and screw-in depth depend on the substrate. Drilling dust should be removed from the hole after drilling.
For concrete, the FK-T30 must achieve a minimum screw-in depth of 40 mm into the load-bearing substrate.
| Substrate | Drill-hole diameter | Recommended screw-in depth |
|---|---|---|
| Concrete | 6.5 mm | Minimum 40 mm |
| 7.5 N/mm² solid concrete block | 6.0 mm | 70 mm |
| Calcium silicate brick (sand-lime brick) | 6.5 mm | 60 mm |
| Solid fired-clay brick | 6.0 mm | 60 mm |
| C24 structural timber | 6.0 mm | 60 mm |
| C16 structural timber | 6.0 mm | Minimum 70 mm |
| Lightweight aggregate concrete block (LC6 reference substrate) | 6.0 mm | 60 mm |
| Aerated concrete block PP2 | No pre-drilling | 210 mm |
| Aerated concrete block PP4/6 | No pre-drilling | 180 mm |
| Highly insulated clay block (e.g. Wienerberger Porotherm) | 5.0 mm | Minimum 180 mm |
Due to differences in the structure, density and strength of individual building materials, preliminary fixing tests are recommended where required.
The required FK-T30 screw length is calculated from:
Component or profile thickness + joint width + required screw-in depth = required screw length
The manufacturer recommends a joint width of no more than approximately 15 mm for this calculation.
The drill-hole depth should normally be approximately 10 mm deeper than the required screw-in depth.
For direct or clamping installation, the relevant system and manufacturer requirements for minimum edge distances must also be observed. The manufacturer's technical data specifies a minimum edge distance of 60 mm for the described applications.
A TX T30 driver bit is required for installation.

TRIOTHERM+ Profile, Power FIX and FK-T30 Frame Screws form the TRIOTHERM+ fastening system.
Power FIX provides the bonding and sealing connection between the TRIOTHERM+ profile and the substrate, while the FK-T30 Frame Screws provide the required mechanical, force-transmitting connection to the load-bearing structure.
Power FIX does not replace the required mechanical fixing of the TRIOTHERM+ profiles.
Screw length, screw-in depth, number of fixings and fixing positions must be selected according to the actual substrate, TRIOTHERM+ profile, installation geometry and loads.
For TRIOTHERM+ installations, the applicable system documentation, ETA-23/0620 and official installation instructions must be observed.
